We wish to acknowledge this land on which the University of Toronto operates. For thousands of years it has been the traditional land of the Huron-Wendat, the Seneca, and the Mississaugas of the Credit. Today, this meeting place is still the home to many Indigenous people from across Turtle Island and we are grateful to have the opportunity to work on this land

How to recycle your eclipse glasses

Not sure what to do with your eclipse glasses?

You can keep them in a safe place to use for a future eclipse, or donate them to Astronomers Without Borders to be recycled and reused!

Donated eclipse glasses will be inspected and redistributed to people in the path of future eclipses for free.

You can drop off your glasses in the lobby of the Astronomy and Astrophysics Building at the University of Toronto (2 Ursula Franklin Street) weekdays from 8 AM to 6 PM ET.

If you aren’t in Toronto or would like to mail-in your glasses instead, please send them to:

Ilana MacDonald
Department of Astronomy and Astrophysics
50 St. George St.
Toronto, Ontario
M5S 3H4

We will be collecting glasses until Monday, April 22. Please note that the Astronomy and Astrophysics building is closed on weekends.
